How to reach:
Schoenefeld Airport (SXF)
From the Airport Terminal it is a 5 minute walk to the S-Bahn train station. There you can catch S9. You will ride about 15 stops / 45 min directly to Berlin Central Station where you can change over to RE1 which is running every hour. Both trains will need separate tickets.
Tegel Airport TXL
Right outside of Tegel Airport you can catch the Bus called TXL (Airportbus) direction to Alexanderplatz. However you will need to get of at Berlin Central Station / Hauptbahnhof. From there again same procedure with the RE1.
Once you are in Frankfurt (Oder) you can catch Bus number 968 right outside the train station to Seelow and get off at Carzig bus stop. This Bus goes depending on the day time different routes, so sometime it will take only 35 min and other times it can take 1 hour.
Berlin has a very dense infrastructure offering S-Bahn (City Train), U-Bahn (Underground), Tram, Busses and also Regional Trains (RE) which go to the outskirts. There are many options to get from either Airport Tegel or Airport Schoenefeld to Carzig depending on the day of the week and the time. Therefore I suggest here the easiest route which might take a bit longer but is not confusing.
From both Airports people should get to Berlin Hauptbahnhof which is Berlins Central Station in the middle of town. There they can catch the RE1 ( Regional Express 1) to Frankfurt (Oder). Important to note here is that we do have two towns called Frankfurt in Germany. There is Frankfurt on Main (Germanys Banking Capital) and Frankfurt on Oder near the polish border. Just to know, Main and Oder are rivers. For us is Frankfurt (Oder) important. So be sure that you are not taking the wrong train from central station and end up in Frankfurt on Main.
From Berlin take B1 to the east towards Poland / Kystrin. Turn off at Seelow about towards Frankfurt on B167. After about 20 km from Seelow you will reach Carzig.
Get onto the Berlin Ring A10 to reach A12 towards east / Frankfurt (Oder). Turn off onto B112 going north until Lebus. From Lebus follow B167 towards Seelow. Carzig will be on the right about 7 km from Lebus.
